When it comes to organizing the kid’s
room, it demands maximum effort. General scene of a kids room is: all the
garbage is on the floor; dress, shoes etc are lying on the bed; ward robe is
full of almost useless things in the shabbiest manner. Now the first task is to
put all the garbage in the waste bin, pick up everything from the floor and put
it on the bed, hang jeans, school uniform and other stuff which can get dust
and dirt easily.
Primary step in organizing the kid room
is designing the room in such a way it has some open spaces some completely
closed spaces. Every time you need to take all the stuff out from the wardrobe
and then reorganize it into the proper racks and stacks.
A desk must be there in the kid’s room to
keep the school bag and stationery. Put all the pencils, colors and pens in a
case or a box. Put proper sticky labels to the drawer so that one can easily
identify the things inside it. A bookshelf is also required in the room but we
need to make sure that only books are kept there. Organize the books on the
basis of subjects, size; writers etc. in the assigned rack.
The bed sheet in the kid’s room should be
of a color which can face maximum dirt and mismanagement. Always put one toy of
kid’s choice beside the pillow. One bigger toy basket must be there in the
corner to keep all the toys collectively.
Room cleaning should be a routine
activity and try making the kids a part of it. Do it like a game where ask them
to find out things which are out of sight from a long time and then show and
teach the how to declutter their room to make it neater. One creative way can
be divided the games and toys into various categories and asking them to put
the things at the designated places. They will take part proactively and
enthusiastically.
This way we can organize kid’s room in a
better manner. Here we must inculcate into the kids that they must understand
the importance of being organized and the value of cleanliness and hygiene in
life.
